Physiotherapy
Movement is central to the health and well-being of individuals, stiffness and lack of movement in joints and muscles can be painful and debilitating.
Physiotherapy uses stretching, mobilizing and manipulative techniques can engage your body's ability to heal itself and maximise movement and can provide preventative solutions, treatment and rehabilitation for a range of conditions.
Our Physiotherapist
Mr Richard Gray has nearly 20 years experience working as a physiotherapist and is a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. He is expertly qualified to treat a variety of conditions.
In the past he has worked in the NHS at North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary and the Haywood Hospital. In 1990 he left the NHS and worked as head physiotherapist for Stoke City Football Club, four years later he set up his own practice where he leads a team of five physiotherapists.
The Treatment
The first stage of your treatment is a confidential consultation with Mr Gray during which he will examine your range of movement and discuss any problems and discomfort you have been experiencing. He will then explain to you in more detail about the treatments he feels are appropriate to aid your recovery.
Physiotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, Mr Gray's particular interests include:
- Cervico-genic headache
- Orthopaedics and sports therapy
- Post operative rehabilitation
- Isokinetic testing and rehabilitation
- Advanced neuro-muscular stabilisation techniques for spinal and peripheral joints
- Medico-legal, including road traffic and industrial injuries
