Anti-Ageing Treatments
The lines made by our laughter and frowns get more noticeable as we get older and can often make us look older than we feel. Our Anti-Ageing Treatments can help reduce these lines leaving you looking naturally younger.
Our Consultant
Dr Carl Mann is a consultant neurologist with many years experience working at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and here at Cornwall House clinic. As a medical professional he has an expert medical knowledge of the facial map of nerves and muscles and is qualified to give you the expert care you deserve.
He also holds clinics for the treatment of muscle spasms, palsy of the face and dystonia.
The Treatment
The first stage of your treatment is a confidential consultation with Dr Mann during which he will examine the muscle movements and nerves in your face. He will chat to you in more detail about the procedure, answers any questions about anxieties or expectations you might have and fill out a medical questionnaire.
Dr Mann will then be able to tell you if he feels this treatment is right for you and why.
The treatment itself is a simple non-surgical procedure which can temporarily smooth fine lines and wrinkles within a few days. A purified protein produced by botulinum toxin is used to reduce the movement of the muscles which cause fine lines and wrinkles to develop.
The treatment only takes around a quarter of an hour leaving you free to enjoy the rest of your day as usual.
The Results
Noticeable results will be seen 2 weeks following your treatment. Your expression will appear more relaxed giving you a natural, youthful appearance.
This treatment usually lasts from three to six months although the most effective results are seen when treatment is built up over a period of time, especially for heavier lines.
